Mr Rahul Sinha Roy holds a Masters in Law from The University of Leeds (United Kingdom) and was a recipient of the prestigious Liberty Scholarship from the University of Leeds. He wrote his Masters Dissertation on ‘State Sanctioned Prosecution of Deviant Sexual Behaviour’.
He completed his Bachelors from School of Law, KIIT University with Honours in Intellectual Property Rights. Mr Sinha Roy has also won a national essay writing competition named “Licito Concurso” organised by India Law Journal in 2010.
He has further successfully completed five Certificate Courses on Intellectual Property Rights from World Intellectual Property Organisation. Professionally, he is an AIBE (All India Bar Examination) qualified lawyer and has practised at the Criminal side in the High Court at Calcutta for one year (2014-2015) as an advocate. He has also worked part time as a Research Assistant to a Disability Advocate and Lawyer at Leeds for one year (2015-16) before joining Lloyd Law College in 2017.
His major academic interests lie in Criminal law,
Jurisprudence and Socio-Legal Theory.
Currently he teaches Media and Law at Lloyd Law College.
