CLAT which is also known as Common Law Admission Test is a centralized entrance exam for admissions at the national level. The test is taken after the Higher Secondary Examination or the completion of the 12th grade for admission to integrated undergraduate degrees in law (BA/BBA/B.COM/B.SC/BSW LLB), as well as Master of Laws (LL.M) programs. Prior to the Common Law Admission Test's inception, the National Law Universities had their own entrance examinations, for which candidates had to prepare separately.
However, the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is now conducted for entrance to 27 out of 29 National Law Universities (NLU) in India. To compete in CLAT 2025, candidates must meet the minimum qualifying standards. Even if they pass the CLAT exam but do not fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements will not be considered for admission to integrated LL.B programs. The Common Law Admission Test 2025 admit card will formally be announced and released at https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in. All applicants who have enrolled for CLAT 2025 and paid their fees should anticipate receiving their admit cards from the consortium in November 2024 (tentatively). Following the announcement, if you are the chosen one, you may also download the CLAT 2025 admission card from the official website. The CLAT admission card can be downloaded by candidates by following the guidelines provided below.
The only applicants who will receive admit cards to the CLAT test in 2025 are those who fully complete the application and pay the required amount. The CLAT registration cost is INR 3,500 for applicants in the general category and INR 3,000 for those in the SC and ST categories.
CLAT Answer Key 2025: After conducting the CLAT 2025 exam in December 2024, the consortium will provide access to students to download and check the CLAT 2025 answer key. On the official NLU website, students may view and download the master question paper and its answer key. It contains answer to each question being asked in the exam. In addition to this, students are also permitted to challenge to the answer key.
