For admission to all undergraduate (UG) programs at all central universities, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) was implemented in 2022.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will give applicants nationwide, particularly those from rural and other distant places, a similar platform and equitable possibilities while also promoting stronger relationships with universities. Candidates will be able to include more Central Universities in their application pool with only one exam.

The CUET is not a brand-new exam. It was first administered in the year 2010 with a purpose to offer admissions to undergraduate, graduate, diploma/certificate programs or integrated postgraduate at seven central universities.
