(Finding problem and suggesting solution after this attack)
Pulwama is a district in Jammu & Kashmir. Recently a vehicle acted as a suicide bomber; carrying over 350kg of explosives and; resulted in killing of about 40-44 Central Reserve Police force (CRPF). Now, people want to do something regarding that to show their sympathy towards those soldiers and their family members who has suffered. In process of doing this what they prefer and in reality what the most of the people is doing is that they are making rallies in different parts of the country and raising slogans against Pakistan and terrorism. In the recent times these kinds of rallies were very popular. Now, my question is whether doing these kinds of rallies will help those people? Or will help them in any manner possible? The answer is no, these rallies are just a kind of aggression for a limited period of time and also a kind of self satisfaction that they have done something for those people.
I think the people forget that it’s not the time of showing aggression towards anyone but it’s time to help those people who need it the most at that time and not only to those people who are CRPF soldiers but everyone who needs help including those CRPF soldiers and that’s the main problem. If soldiers can fight for us then why can’t we. But what people prefer is to do a rally and tell slogans and enough, which ends there only. What I think is we all should always keep helping those people nearest to us as already told there are other people too along with CRPF one’s to help, if one seriously wants to help When it comes to revenge then leave it for government to decide it, one can make aware by doing rallies and also keep helping everyone who is within our reach. This is solution who really wants to solve problems after any sudden attack. And those who can’t do this are biggest enemy to nation.
The fact is long term solutions are required when it comes to issues of terrorism and national security. Vigilante justice is not the way forward and there is an actual need to bring the concept of legality and non-legality of action into the public discourse. We need to understand the actual problem and real time solutions for such problems through the legal means and here at the Lloyd Law College, Top law colleges in greater noida, at the One-Day International Conference on INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN AND REFUGEE LAWS held on MARCH 17, 2018 at the Technical Session II terrorism and the way forward was discussed with special focus on legality and non-legality of action and the need for world peace. The conclusions that were arrived at during the different sessions of the IHRL conference at Lloyd Law College then are even more relevant today in the light of the Pulwama Terrorist Attack.
