A loving family, good job, good friends, nice flat, classy car, financial security and a great physique, on the face of it, this would be the last person you would think would want to probably kill himself. But as we know, what people see on the outside, and what goes on inside, are often very different.
One of the most common reason for suicide is depression, depression related to work, job, family problem etc. but in case of the Indian youth it can also be the failure to do well in the Board Exams as that is considered as the be all and the end all of any future aspirations by the students and the pressure that the parents put on their child. But they never be able to understand that it does not matter what they achieve, how successful you are at work, how good a relationship you had it might never be enough. Even when surrounded one can be lonely even though you might feel connected to them they might feel isolated. They expect too much from life and end up unable to face the challenges and disappointments that life throws their way.
Counsellor and therapist are always there to help. But because of stereotype thinking of Indian citizen they thinks that counsellors are only for mentally disturbed peoples, which is totally wrong. Our brain is an unstable organ. Several thoughts keep running in our brain, and for right direction and for proper vision counsellor and therapists are always there to help. It's human nature to expect too much from life but a counsellor will make us understand that not everyone can be exceptional and do great things otherwise exceptional would just become ordinary.
A good counsellor will listen to their problems and will deal with it in proper manner. In todays busy life, there is no one to hear our stuff, due to which they fail to share their good and bad thoughts and this feeling makes a person overburden and force them to take such step.
Life is not always perfect; it's full of disappointment and this need to be understood. According to a study “thought of suicide in a normal brain is merely of few seconds”. For those few seconds only he has control over his thoughts.
We need to understand our problem and should find a proper solution by consulting our parents or trusted friends. But now a days people find suicide as a great solution for their problem. A person needs only few minutes kill himself but he never thinks of his family that is left behind.
Another issue that has forced people to commit suicide in the Indian context has been the constant ragging that many of the students have faced at their different institutions and therefore the Supreme Court had to step in to deal with matter firmly and the result was an anti-ragging guideline that is meant to help protect the students, Lloyd Law College too has taken serious note of the menace of ragging and has been successful in creating a ragging free campus and opting for a very strict and effective policy with regard to ragging. Anti-Ragging Committee of Lloyd Law College, law colleges in greater noida, enforces the Zero tolerance anti-ragging policy adopted by the Lloyd College with swift and effective results purging the fear of ragging from the minds of the students and creating a safe environment for the students keeping them away from thoughts of suicide.
